CHUNSHU COOLING
The Chunshu 5kW liquid cooling unit is designed for battery energy storage cabinets that require controlled coolant circulation and a compact installation layout. Its vertical structure allows integration into cabinet designs where a horizontal mounting platform is not suitable.
Connected to the battery cold plates, the unit removes heat from the coolant circuit and returns cooled fluid to the battery system. It supports thermal management during charging and discharging in commercial and industrial energy storage applications.
The upright design provides an alternative mounting arrangement for liquid-cooled battery cabinets. Positioning should allow access to electrical connections, coolant connections and service components, with sufficient clearance for condenser airflow.
The unit regulates coolant temperature to support stable battery operating conditions. Working with a properly designed cold-plate circuit, it helps manage heat buildup during operation.
RS485 or CAN communication is available according to the selected configuration. Communication allows the cooling unit to exchange operating information with the supervisory controller. The protocol and available data points should be confirmed during system integration.
R134a, R410A and optional R513A configurations can be discussed according to project requirements. Power supply selection must be matched to the selected refrigeration system and installation site.

Nominal cooling capacity is specified at defined test conditions. Actual available capacity depends on ambient temperature, coolant temperature and the selected configuration. Please request the specification sheet for rated conditions and detailed performance data.
The unit supplies cooled liquid to the battery cold plates. As the coolant passes through the cold plates, it absorbs heat from the battery modules and returns to the cooling unit. The refrigeration system then removes this heat before the coolant circulates again.
The battery cold plates, external piping and cooling unit must be matched as a complete system. Coolant compatibility, circuit resistance and required flow should be checked before installation.

Battery energy capacity alone does not determine the required cooling capacity. A suitable selection also depends on battery heat generation, charge/discharge rate, maximum ambient temperature and the required coolant supply temperature.

Estimated battery heat load
Maximum ambient temperature
Required coolant supply temperature
Coolant type, required flow and circuit pressure drop
Available power supply and installation space

There is no fixed kWh-to-cooling-capacity ratio. Suitability depends on the battery heat load, operating rate and site conditions. Please share the system specifications for selection.

Yes. An R513A configuration can be requested. The corresponding power supply, cooling performance and project requirements should be confirmed during selection.
Not as a direct replacement without checking the installation. Mounting space, airflow, coolant connections, pump performance and electrical interfaces must all be reviewed.
